The way of men are not mysterious although frequently misunderstood. According to the Harry's masculinity report from 2017 we want the same thing you would expect a most people to want. We want to work where we feel appreciated and like we have a purpose for being there. We want to be able to care for our families and enjoy life. This doesn't always happen and where we work is frequently connected to our identities as men. What happens when the work place becomes toxic?
Sexual harassment rears it's ugly head against everyone including us. No one wants to work in a hostile work environment or feel harassed but it happens to men everyday. The bigger problem is no one wants to talk about it!
My guest today is Tim Mousseau who is an HR Consultant, a Speaker and a leader in changing the conversation on sexual harassment. Tim works with companies to change the way sexual harassment is handled for the better. Tim is also a survivor of sexual assault in the work place and experienced first hand the stigmas that come with it; including being told not to report it..
Tim and I sat down and had a really gritty, raw and honest conversation about sexual harassment, men and sex, stigmas, the changing conversation about harassment and the change in generational views on what is normal and ok and what is not.
